Job DescriptionA Senior Dev Ops Engineer will take the lead in designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining new and existing tooling/automation solutions to enable IFS to further drive the reliability and efficiency of its operation platforms. And will mentor, coach, and train colleagues on Dev Ops practices and software delivery pipelines
Together a Senior Dev Ops Engineer and a Dev Ops Engineer at IFS are drivers of further automation in the area in which the person is working and ensures the continued robustness of the team’s daily operations. This work is focused on ensuring that continuous integration, testing, and deployment are facilitated using industry Dev Ops best practices and tools.
Dev Ops Engineers leverage their technical expertise to support the entire IFS organization in developing services that can always be deployed and tested with a high degree of automation. They demonstrate a strong commitment to the service and process quality, taking proactive steps to prevent issues and resolving them quickly and effectively when they do arise.
Dev Ops Engineers at IFS continually enhances their understanding of processes and technical domains, leveraging this expertise to guide and support others.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, deploy, and maintain tooling/automation solutions to enhance reliability and efficiency of operation platforms
- Drive continuous integration, testing, and deployment using industry Dev Ops best practices and tools
- Identify and implement opportunities for new or enhanced automation to drive organizational efficiencies
- Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to continuously improve delivery quality
- Engage with stakeholders to ensure satisfaction through high-quality, thoroughly tested, and frequently deployed software
- Provide solution options, estimations, and perform pre-studies for new practices
- Foster transparency and collaboration across teams to align goals and enable efficient communication
- Work closely with QA and development teams to deliver reliable, high-quality software
- Contribute to service/program management activities and assist in defining future direction for Dev Ops-related domains
· Recommended 2+ years of relevant experience DevOps Engineer; 4+ years for Senior DevOps Engineer
· BA/BS required, Technical Diploma in Computer Science, MIS, or IT or a related field preferred.
· Able to work / be available a couple hours a day that overlap with US Business Hours is a must.
Mandatory Skills
-Hands-on experience with Bitbucket Pipelines and Azure DevOps, including Pipelines, Repos, and Artifacts.
-Proficient in automation and scripting using YAML, Bash, PowerShell, and Python.
-Working knowledge of Ansible for configuration management and automation.
-Experience with Docker for container-based development and deployment.
-Familiarity with ClickOnce for streamlined Windows application deployment.
-Kubernetes is a plus for orchestration of containerized applications.
-Strong proficiency in Terraform (primary tool for infrastructure provisioning).
-Solid understanding and hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services, including compute, networking, and storage components.
-Comfortable working in both Linux/Unix and Windows environments.
-Experience with Veracode or similar application security tools for code scanning and vulnerability management.
-Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on documentation and cross-functional collaboration.
-Proven ability to design, visualize, and implement scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure solutions.
Good-to-Have Skills
-Familiarity with testing tools and behavior-driven development frameworks such as: Selenium, SpecFlow / Reqnroll,NUnit, Gherkin
-Understanding of CI-integrated testing strategies
-Experience with Azure Monitor and Azure Application Insights for proactive monitoring, diagnostics, and performance analysis.
-Exposure to leveraging AI in DevOps workflows, including:
-AI-assisted static analysis and code review tools
-GitHub Copilot or equivalent tools for development acceleration
-AI-based test generation
-Automation of infrastructure tasks and support for intelligent incident response systems
