Platform Engineer – Azure CloudOps
About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Platform Engineer to join our Azure CloudOps team. This role is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the cloud-native infrastructure and platform services that support scalable, secure, and resilient operations in Microsoft Azure. You will collaborate with DevOps, Security, and Application teams to ensure our Azure environments are optimized for performance, automation, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
• Design and implement cloud-native infrastructure solutions using Azure services and best practices.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment and configuration of platform components.
• Monitor and optimize performance, availability, and cost-efficiency of Azure resources.
• Implement and maintain container orchestration platforms (e.g., Azure Kubernetes Service).
• Collaborate with security and compliance teams to enforce governance policies and access controls.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across the platform stack, including networking, compute, and storage.
• Document architecture, processes, and operational runbooks for platform components.
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident response as needed.

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of experience in platform engineering or cloud infrastructure roles.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Azure services (e.g., Azure Resource Manager, AKS, Azure Monitor, Azure DevOps).
• Experience with IaC tools (Terraform, Bicep, ARM) and configuration management (Ansible, DSC).
• Solid understanding of networking, security, and identity management in Azure.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, or Python).
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Grafana).

Preferred Qualifications
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect or Azure DevOps Engineer.
• Experience with GitHub Enterprise.
• Knowledge of service mesh technologies and distributed systems.
