Responsibilities:
- Work with Global Middle Office Technology and Operation teams to understand the requirements and convert them in to concrete deliverables.
- Serve as a mentor and coach mid-level developers.
- Provide expertise in application programming and ensure application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprint.
- Implement new functionalities by writing good quality code and automated tests with Shift left approach.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws.
Qualifications:
- Must have 6-8 years of Java experience in writing solid Java APIs in micro services world.
- Must have 4-6 years of Full Stack Development experience in Microsoft/Java technologies including DotNet, C# experience, Visual Studio.
- Must have experience using container platforms like Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift etc.
- Experience working with messaging middleware platforms like Solace, Tibco etc.,
- Strong expertise in DDL/DML/SQL programming against famous databases like Sybase and Oracle etc.,
- A polyglot programmer who can adapt to different programming languages
- Strong understanding of automated testing techniques, Selenium, Cucumber
- Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and Continuous Integration and Continuous deployment.
- Must be team player with work break down, planning, execution
- Java 11+, Asynchronous programming, microservices architecture and patterns,design and implementation
- Nice to Have: Experience working as a technologist in the front/middle office space across any of the finance asset class
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
