Job Description

Are you ready to join a high performing Operations team where you can have a high level impact on the performance of a leading toy brand and increase the quality of its business plans?

Use your excellent collaborator skills to assure an optimal build up of the Singapore, Malaysia & APAC Travel Retail (SMTR) business plans, consolidating the input from brand and sales perspectives. Bring value for LEGO with your focus on quality, efficiency and effectiveness in managing the S&OP process.

No relocation support will be available for this opportunity.

Core Responsibilities

  • Working with the business to gain an understanding of past performance and why there were deviations to expectations. Including driving an understanding of the drivers behind forecasting critical metrics

  • Working with the Business Intelligence team to understand if there are any changes to the category or market macro performance that would impact the base level of consumer sales.

  • Working through the forecasting team with the Sales and Marketing (S&M) groups to ensure there is an understanding to any changes in future assumptions behind the business plans and that they are reflected in the forecast.

  • Challenge the assumptions that are provided to stress test the quality of the plan and the resulting forecast.

  • Build the monthly coherent story line that explains past performance and future changes to the total business plans

  • Own the Gap to Target process with S&M to see opportunities to close gaps in Consumer Sales and Retail Inventory

  • Drive continuous improvement of the S&OP cycle

The demand planning and forecasting department is responsible for the monthly management of the SMTR Sales and Operations cycle to provide a strong understanding of past business performance and the impact to the future forecast.

The role is essential in ensuring the business has a strong understanding and ability to answer the four questions of S&OP: What happened, Why did it happen, What does that mean for the future and What are we going to do about it.

Do you have what it takes:

  • Equivalent experience in supply chain or economics, alongside a Bachelor’s Degree

  • Experience in leading S&OP process preferably in a FMCG environment

  • Strong data management abilities and proficient in excel

  • Excellent collaborator management with experience working with both internal and external collaborators across functions

  • Result Orientation: There is a high expectation of delivering an accurate and insight based forecast built off an understanding of past performance and the ability to explain its impact on future planning assumptions.

  • Collaboration: To be effective in this role you will need to proactively build a culture with the Forecasting, Sales, Marketing and Business Intelligence teams where planning changes are freely shared and stress tested.

  • Functional Expertise: Would need to have a strong understand of Sales and Operations Planning and Forecasting good practices to be able to drive the continuous improvement within the processes.

  • Power BI: Able to build PBI dashboards to automate reporting and drive real life updates or data
