We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Data Engineer to join our data team. This role is ideal for fresh graduates who are passionate about building data infrastructure and enabling data-driven decision-making. You will work closely with data scientists, analysts, and software engineers to design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and systems.
Responsibilities- Assist in designing, building, and maintaining reliable data pipelines and ETL processes.
- Support the integration of data from various sources into data warehouses or data lakes.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and availability across systems.
- Collaborate with data analysts and scientists to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
- Monitor and optimize data workflows for performance and scalability.
- Document data engineering processes and contribute to best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of data modelling, ETL concepts, and database systems (SQL/NoSQL).
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, or Scala).
- Familiarity with SQL and data querying.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn and grow in a collaborative environment.
- Participation in data engineering or analytics-related internships, innovation programs, or competitions (e.g., hackathons, data challenges).
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and tools like Apache Airflow, Spark, or Kafka.
- Exposure to data warehousing solutions (e.g., BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake).
- Academic or personal projects involving data pipeline development or data integration.
