• The salary range for this position is RM22,034 - RM24,238 for those based in Malaysia, and S$15,168 - S$16,685 for those based in Singapore.

We are hiring an experienced Data Analytics Lead to own our data & product analytics strategy and help drive data adoption throughout the company. You will be the first data analytics hire for CoinGecko and will have the opportunity to develop and establish CoinGecko’s data culture and best practices.
Note: This is a remote-first role based in Malaysia or Singapore, and only candidates based in either country will be considered.
Job Responsibilities
- Data Strategy: Own & drive CoinGecko’s data & product analytics strategy across all products. Drive data adoption and amplify a data culture throughout the company by enabling teams to reach business & product objectives through actionable data.
- Data Platform Management: Be the subject matter expert for all data & product analytics tools, and enable all teams to access and make sense of our data. Lead initiatives to improve usability, efficiency & quality of our tools to amplify a data culture.
- Advanced Data Analysis: Own all advanced analysis to extract actionable insights and serve as the source of truth for key business & product metrics. Develop and maintain robust dashboards and present during quarterly business reviews to provide actionable insights for leadership, finance & product teams.
- Data Governance & Quality: Partner with product & engineering to establish best practices to ensure data accuracy and quality of all data within our data platforms. Conduct regular data audits and initiatives to improve data quality and enable teams to access accurate data on a self-serve basis as much as possible.
- Data Product Development: Partner with product and engineering leadership to develop and execute an annual data roadmap. Build business cases for new data initiatives including new data instrumentation and A/B testing frameworks. Drive these cross-functional projects from ideation to completion.
- Team Leadership & Mentorship: Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing data analyst team by providing data-driven coaching on analytical techniques and business impact. Ensure team success by driving best practices, enforcing data governance, and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous learning.
- You are required to support any ad hoc tasks as required by the company.
Job Requirements
- Proven Ability: You have 5-8 years of experience in Data Analytics or Product Analytics within high-growth tech or SaaS environments. You have a proven track record of building scalable data solutions, executing 12-18 month data roadmaps (strategy, targets, forecasts), and coaching teams to drive performance.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related quantitative field is a plus.
- Product Knowledge: You have a deep understanding of CoinGecko products, customer needs, and the crypto/blockchain landscape.
- Skills: You are highly proficient in SQL, modern data & product analytic platforms (ie. Looker, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Google Analytics), and data warehouses (ie. BigQuery, Snowflake). Experience with experimentation platforms and Python/R is a plus.
- Familiarity with Data Engineering: You have a good understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data pipeline management. You have hands-on experience managing and integrating various data tools, including automation, data enrichment, and analytics platforms.
- Strategy & Planning: You have strong experience in strategic planning, data roadmap development, and impact assessment. You use a data-driven approach to support business strategy, set targets, and possess a high attention to detail.
- Communication & Leadership: You can build strong relationships and can communicate & collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including C-level executives. You can drive change, foster adoption of new data practices, and work independently to improve the overall data maturity of the organization.
- Entrepreneurial: You are self-motivated, resourceful, and have an entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment, which requires an active growth mindset to learn and develop continuously.
