Overview:
As the Dangerous Goods Coordinator, you will drive the optimization of dangerous goods processes to elevate transportation safety and ensure unwavering regulatory compliance across our organization. The ideal candidate will support the global dangerous goods team, lead the global Reliance program, support our dealership network with regulatory compliance issues and collaborate with engineering teams on packaging solutions. Additionally, proactively monitor industry trends to implement strategic continuous improvement initiatives that reinforce our commitment to excellence in dangerous goods management.
Key Responsibilities:
Global Reliance Program Management:

  • Streamline and automate dangerous goods processes throughout the organization to enhance transportation safety and ensure adherence to regulations
  • Ensure corrective action plans, and regulatory tasks are completed on time by our global sites


Dealership Network Development:

  • Create and maintain a support system for our dealership network that ensures our dealerships are adhering to dangerous goods regulations.
  • Collaborate with dealerships to ensure they are equipped to handle dangerous goods safely and in compliance with regulations.


Dangerous Goods Packaging Development:

  • Support the development and improvement of packaging solutions for GMs global operations
  • Collaborate with engineering and packaging teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.


Training and Support:

  • Develop and deliver training programs for employees and dealerships on dangerous goods regulations and best practices.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on dangerous goods transportation and packaging
  • This job is not eligible for relocation benefits. Any relocation costs would be the responsibility of the selected candidate


Additional Description
Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience post graduate in dangerous goods management, logistics, supply chain, warehouse or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of dangerous goods regulations and compliance
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and regions
  • Proficient in Microsoft office Suite
  • Willing to travel 15% within North America


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Environmental Science, Logistics, Safety Management)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and regions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with compliance management systems
  • Data analytics Experience
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or related
  • Self Starter and willing to work independently
