Job Description

Primary Functions and Essential Responsibilities:

  • Collect financial data sources
  • Analyze financial statements
  • Analyze industry trends and build company, sector, and industry forecasts
  • Collect, compile, and interpret data affecting potential investments, such as macro-economic factors, market share and competitive positioning, valuation, yield
  • Build detailed financial models for companies
  • Identify both macro and company specific potential investment risks; determine and consider potential mitigants
  • Prepare and present investment recommendations
  • Participate in meetings with potential/current investee companies and the in-house investment committee
  • Handle other ad-hoc projects

Education:

  • Undergraduate student preferably in their penultimate or final year, preferably a major in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or other related disciplines
  • Strong academic performance (minimum GPA of 4.5/5.0 or 3.8/4.0)

Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Passion for investing and valuation
  • Self-motivated, enjoy challenges, and willing to continually learn
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency with numbers
  • Advanced MS Excel and financial modelling skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Proficiency in a Southeast Asian language is welcomed, but not mandatory
  • Excellent editorial and review skills
  • Initiative and entrepreneurial spirit
  • Ability to explain facts and findings in a clear and succinct manner (both verbally and in writing)
  • Possess multi-tasking skills and ability to work well under pressure
  • Strong team player
