As a Credit Middle Office Manager within the Markets Operations team, you will manage the Currencies and Emerging Market middle office teams located in Hong Kong and Singapore. You will oversee a team of 6-8 team members, ensuring the timely and accurate capture of all transactions in the Risk Management Systems. Your responsibilities include managing the trade lifecycle, collaborating with various departments to support new business initiatives, and addressing day-to-day queries from business partners while serving as the main point of contact for the Trading Desk.

As a Credit Middle Office Manager within the Markets Operations team, you will manage the Currencies and Emerging Market middle office teams located in Hong Kong and Singapore. You will oversee a team of 6-8 team members, ensuring the timely and accurate capture of all transactions in the Risk Management Systems. Your responsibilities include managing the trade lifecycle, collaborating with various departments to support new business initiatives, and addressing day-to-day queries from business partners while serving as the main point of contact for the Trading Desk.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of 6-8 people, performing general management tasks, including objective setting, appraisals and resource planning.
- Oversee the timely and accurate capture of all transactions in the Risk Management Systems.
- Manage the trade lifecycle, including rate re-fixing and event management.
- Partner with Front Office, Finance, QR, VCG, and Technology in supporting new business initiatives.
- Handle day to day queries from various business partners and be the main face off to the Trading Desk.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Minimum of 7 years working experience in Investment Banking Operations
- Understanding of the relevant derivatives and hedging products
- Knowledge of the front to back Operations process, including key elements such as confirmations, settlements, and regulatory reporting, and the ability to facilitate issue resolution across teams
- Understanding of the key elements of other infrastructure groups (e.g. Finance, Market risk, Credit risk, Operational risk, Legal, Collateral, etc.) and the impact of the actions of the Trade support team on these areas
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively, explain, and challenge as appropriate.
- Attention to detail and a sense of ownership
- Ability to work as a great team player in a pressurized and changing environment
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Strong problem solving, control, and project management skills
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- At least 6 years of working experience in Trade Support / Middle Office
- An understanding of all relevant derivatives and hedging products (Credit Default Swaps (CDS), Credit Index Products (CIS), Total Return Swaps (TRS), Credit Linked Notes (CLN) and Fixed Income Products like Bonds / Treasuries
