Cochlear, the global leader in implantable hearing solutions, is looking for a Country Manager, Singapore to expand market reach, strengthen partnerships, and lead a high-performing team in driving cochlear implant adoption.

About the Role

As Country Manager, Singapore, you will be responsible for shaping and executing commercial strategies, growing market share, and ensuring Cochlear remains at the forefront of hearing innovation. You will build strong relationships with hearing aid retailers, audiologists, hospitals, professional associations, and government agencies to expand patient access and advocate for better hearing health policies.

Key Responsibilities

Business Growth & Market Leadership

  • Develop and implement sales, marketing, and lead generation strategies to exceed revenue targets.

  • Strengthen market leadership by increasing cochlear implant penetration and adoption of Standard of Care treatment guidelines.

  • Expand the market through Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) initiatives, including online lead generation, patient education events, and professional referrals.

  • Champion new product launches and accelerate adoption in Singapore.

  • Innovate commercial offerings tailored to different patient segments.

Strategic Partnerships & Advocacy

  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with ENT surgeons, audiologists, hearing aid retailers, hospitals, and other service providers to drive referrals.

  • Work with patient groups, professional associations, and government agencies to advocate for policy changes that improve hearing health support and funding.

  • Establish Cochlear as the thought leader in hearing health and a trusted partner for healthcare professionals.

Key Account & Market Development

  • Develop and execute a key account management strategy to reinforce Cochlear’s market leadership.

  • Oversee budgets, forecasts, and business performance tracking to ensure growth and profitability.

  • Implement pricing strategies and commercial models that align with market needs and business goals.

Team Leadership & Excellence

  • Inspire, develop, and lead a high-performing team with clear goals and accountability.

  • Drive a culture of innovation, performance, and customer focus.

  • Align local business objectives with Cochlear’s global vision and core values.

What We’re Looking For

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • 8+ years of experience in commercial leadership roles (e.g. Country Manager, Sales Manager, Business Unit Head) within medical devices, pharmaceuticals or related healthcare industries.

  • Proven track record in driving business growth, market development, and commercial execution.

  • Experience in Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) marketing, lead generation, and patient engagement strategies.

  • Strong background in key account management and partnership development, particularly with hearing aid retailers, audiologists, hospitals, and healthcare professionals.

  • Experience in government engagement, public affairs, or policy advocacy related to healthcare or medical devices is a plus.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strategic thinker with a data-driven approach to market growth and commercial execution.

  • Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence across multiple levels (government, professional bodies, healthcare partners).

  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with a track record of building and motivating high-performing teams.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while balancing strategic planning and hands-on execution.

  • Strong financial acumen, with experience managing P&L, budgets, and forecasting.
