Your Team, Your Impact
As a Financial Staff Professional at Marvell, you’ll work closely with the business unit you support to provide meaningful data analysis. Your team has a certain budget for resources and you’ll help them decide how to use that budget most effectively. Should we get more new lab equipment or hire another team member? Are we on track with the forecast? Will this new product deliver a positive return on investment given its costs? You’re the one providing the analysis to help your team decide.
What You Can Expect
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Senior Cost Accounting Analyst to join our finance team. Based in Singapore, this role will be crucial in managing cost accounting processes, analyzing production costs, and providing financial insights to drive operational improvements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting/finance, with hands-on experience in cost analysis, variance reporting, and automation tools. Experience with OSAT cost and an ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:

Cost Accounting Processes: Manage and oversee the cost accounting processes, including standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation, ensuring accurate tracking of costs across various functions.

Monthly Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and analyze monthly production cost reports, highlighting key insights, identifying areas for cost savings, and recommending operational improvements.

Month-End Close: Support the month-end close process by ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, with a focus on cost and inventory-related entries.

Cost Tracking & Forecasting: Collaborate closely with the production and operations teams to improve cost tracking processes, forecasting accuracy, and budget adherence.

Decision Support: Provide actionable financial data and insights to support decision-making, helping operational and financial teams optimize cost performance.

Compliance: Ensure adherence to relevant accounting standards, internal policies, and SOX compliance in all cost accounting activities.

Special Projects & Ad-Hoc Tasks: Participate in and support special projects, process improvements, and ad-hoc financial analyses as required by the business.
What We're Looking For

Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in cost accounting, with a preference for experience in OSAT cost accounting (OSAT cost experience is a plus).

Technical Skills: Proficiency in RPA/Automation tools (Power BI, Python, Power Query) to streamline processes and improve reporting.

Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to conduct variance analysis, cost control, and performance optimization.

Adaptability: Hands-on approach with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities.

Collaboration: Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work across finance and operational teams to drive process improvements.
Preferred Skills:

Knowledge of OSAT (Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test) cost accounting.

Experience with automation in financial processes and reporting
