JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Looking to push your creative limits? We want your expertise and fresh ideas to create meaningful work with brands. We’re on the lookout for this role: 

Mid to Senior-Level Copywriter 
You’ve got the words, wit, and wisdom to tell stories that connect. You have a strong grasp of both Malay and English for idea and concept writing. Skilled in scriptwriting, especially for branded TV commercials, and a strategic thinker who delivers across various media. Know how to sell your ideas and present with confidence.
Agency experience? Even better.
What you will do:

Content Creation

  • Develop compelling, original, and emotionally resonant copy for 360° campaigns.
  • Craft narratives that reflect cultural nuances and character-driven storytelling.
  • Ensure brand voice and tone consistency across all communication channels.
  • Capable of working across a variety of formats, from punchy headlines to long-form scripts and manifestos.
     

Strategic Planning

  • Understand and able to translate insights into strong creative directions.
  • Strong understanding of brand positioning and messaging strategies to achieve business goals.
  • Interpret and simplify complex briefs into emotionally intelligent ideas that serve brand purpose.
  • Experience in reframing or rebuilding brand perception through narrative.
     

Team Leadership

  • A great team player. 
  • Lead by example in creative brainstorms, reviews and collaborative sessions with multiple teams
  • Able to receive and provide constructive feedback to maintain high creative standard within the team.
     

Client Management

  • Confident in presenting ideas, scripts and rationale to clients.
  • Ability to interpret client feedback without compromising creative integrity.
  • Build trust with clients by understanding their brand voice, challenges and goals.
     

Project Management

  • Handle multiple projects with differing deadlines, prioritizing workload efficiently.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with creative, production and business development teams.
  • Ensure timely delivery of high-quality work at every stage, from concept to final execution.
     

Staying Updated

  • Stay current with international and local films & series, pop culture, trends, language evolution and industry shifts.
  • Use cultural relevance to keep ideas fresh and audience-appropriate.
  • Actively research competitive work and new storytelling techniques.
     

Conceptualization

  • Generate big ideas with campaign potential, not just one-off executions.
  • Think visually as well as verbally, strong partnership skills with art directors and designers.
  • Translate insights into original, bold and meaningful concepts.

  • Command of language, tone, rhythm and emotional nuance.
  • Versatile in adapting style across different brands, audiences and platforms.
  • •Skilled in writing TV scripts, short films, taglines, manifestos and long-copy pieces.

  • Inspires confidence and clarity in presentations, both internally and externally.

  • Able to connect brand goals with audience insights to craft meaningful messaging.
  • Understands marketing funnels, brand architecture and the customer journey.

  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing deadlines.
  • Reliable in fast-paced, high-stakes environments.
  • Takes initiative to anticipate project needs before being asked.

Analytical Skills

  • Able to evaluate creative work based on objectives, not just aesthetics.
  • Reads between the lines of briefs and feedback to uncover what’s truly needed.
  • Knows how to measure effectiveness of content and iterate accordingly.

  • Comfortable shifting between clients, industries and tone of voice.
  • Resilient under pressure and open to evolving ideas during creative development.
