The Job
As a Content Strategist for Create, CNN International Commercial's in-house brand studio, you will be responsible for the development of concepts and creative approaches for branded content campaigns for CNN's advertising partners.
As part of the APAC Content Strategy team, you will generate proposals at a high creative standard, in alignment of client KPIs with CNN brand integrity, and build on audience insights to enhance user engagement. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team of of storytellers and content creators including Producers, Writers, Designers and Project Managers.
The Daily
Concept Development
- Developing proposal decks and write-ups for creative campaigns
- Writing concepts in line with client and sales KPIs for branded campaigns
- Researching stories and talent
- Mapping out content rollout
Strategy
- Working with audience data and consumer insights, incorporating this into campaign ideas
- Assessing suitable formats and amplification platforms
- Conducting competitor analysis, monitoring industry trends (especially in branded media publisher space)
Communication
- Attending internal Sales kick-off meetings, acting as a point of contact for concept development queries
- Representing Create and CNNIC in a professional manner at prospective client meetings
- Supporting in the presentation of campaign concept to Sales teams and clients
Analytics & Insights
- Assessing campaign reports and audience data and insights to inform creative concepts
- Sourcing sector specific reports and documenting these for the wider team
Areas of Accountability
You will write and edit film, digital and social concept proposals, specifically working to:
- Evaluate briefs and ideate campaigns to meet KPIs
- Integrate content strategy into ideas
- Analyse and integrate audience insights
- Present ideas to internal stakeholders and external clients
The Essentials
- Previous experience of conceptualising film, digital and social campaigns for international markets
- Robust research and writing skills
- Familiarity in working to guidelines and high editorial standards
- Proven ability in communicating concepts to internal and external stakeholders
- Knowledge of producing native advertising or sponsored editorial content
- Understanding of content channels and effective distribution systems (e.g. social platforms, SEO, advertising formats)
- Knowledge of MS Office Suite, Adobe Omniture, Global Web Index, Slack
- Previous experience in an international media publisher and/or international companies with APAC clients
This opportunity is for a freelance position. As a valued freelancer, you will collaborate with our dynamic team on a project-by-project basis. While this role does not include traditional employee benefits, it offers flexibility and the chance to contribute to exciting, innovative projects. All terms of engagement, including payment and scope of work, will be clearly outlined in a freelancer agreement.
