About the RoleWe’re seeking a hands-on Data Engineer with strong experience in Azure and Microsoft Fabric to design, build, and optimise data pipelines for clients across Southeast Asia and APAC.
You’ll work closely with analysts, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver cloud-native solutions that are secure, scalable, and ready for insight. From ingestion through to transformation and visualisation, you’ll play a critical role in enabling clients to harness their data with confidence and speed.

What You’ll Do- Design and build data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Synapse, and Microsoft Fabric
- Develop robust ETL/ELT solutions and data models to support analytics and reporting
- Optimise performance, scalability, and reliability across cloud data architectures
- Work closely with business stakeholders to translate needs into technical outcomes
- Contribute to data governance, quality, and lineage initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Australia and APAC
- Support pre-sales, technical design sessions, and proof-of-concept (POC) work
Requirements
- 4+ years’ experience in data engineering or cloud data roles
- Proven experience with Azure Data Services (Data Factory, Synapse, Data Lake, Purview)
- Practical experience using Microsoft Fabric (OneLake, Data Pipelines, Dataflows, Notebooks)
- Strong SQL and data modelling skills
- Exposure to modern data stack tools like dbt, Power BI, or Databricks
- Understanding of data governance and DevOps principles
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
- Based in Malaysia, with the ability to work flexibly across time zones
