The Compliance Transformation and Reporting role reports to the Chief Compliance Officer and will manage a small team of compliance officers. The selected candidate is expected to drive the transformation and automation of compliance processes within the Singapore Compliance team, as well as prepare, handle and coordinate compliance reporting for management locally, regionally and globally. The selected candidate will be responsible for identifying transformation opportunities within the team, and working with various stakeholders across the company to implement these initiatives. In addition, the candidate will be expected to support compliance advisory work within the team as required.
Position Responsibilities:
- Identify transformation and automation opportunities across the team
- Develop a roadmap to drive and implement these transformation and automation efforts
- Adopt change management practices and conduct training as required to ensure adoption of new systems and processes
- Ensure timely and quality preparation of compliance reports for various management meetings and compliance reports
- Oversee and guide the compliance officers within the team to achieve the team’s overall mandate
Required Qualifications:
- Sound understanding of Singapore regulatory requirements applicable to insurance industry and compliance operational processes across the spectrum of compliance activities e.g. AML processes, balanced scorecard review, fit and proper assessment, compliance investigations etc.
- Strong change management, project management, stakeholder engagement and communication skills (both verbal and written)
- A dynamic compliance officer who is collaborative, open to new ideas, driven, proactive and demonstrating an ability to challenge status quo in a meaningful manner
- Able to work independently as well as being part of a team
- Demonstrated track record in leading and driving transformation efforts in another financial institution in Singapore will be a plus
