As a Vice President in Credit Trading, you will cover institutional accounts and make markets in your group's particular range of products. You will manage risk, liquidity, and exposure, supporting all aspects of the trading desk, including pre-trade analysis, research, and strategy design for large trades. Your role is pivotal in evaluating market developments to provide clients with accurate product information.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide a meaningful contribution to revenue and client franchise.
- Understand market drivers, market moves, and the numbers behind it all.
- Exhibit sound judgment under pressure and maintain composure through challenging trading environments.
- Outperform the market and competition through both bottoms-up and top-down analysis.
- Understand drivers of relevant markets and establish a high degree of competence with clients around market making.
- Build a foundation of trust with clients by demonstrating an understanding of their needs.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- 5 years' experience as a credit trader on the sell-side with a proven track record.
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, or other related disciplines.
- Solid client relationships on the buy-side.
- Excellent communicator and team player.
- Strong market analytics and technical skill sets.
- Proficient product knowledge of bonds, credit default swaps (CDS), and relevant cross-asset products.
- Client-first approach to business and franchise.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Advanced degree in Finance or related field.
- Experience in managing large-scale trades.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements in trading.
- Ability to innovate and adapt strategies in dynamic market conditions.
- Strong leadership skills and experience in team management.
