Join Our dynamic team at JPMorgan as a Commercial and Investment Bank (CIB) Front Office Recruiter, Vice President, and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our CIB operations in Japan and Korea. Your expertise in talent acquisition will drive our strategic growth and ensure we attract the best and brightest to our team.
As a CIB Front Office Recruiter, Vice President, based in Tokyo, Japan, you will be instrumental in sourcing top talent for our CIB operations in Japan and Korea. Reporting to the Japan Recruitment Lead, you will collaborate with business leaders and Human Resources partners to design and implement innovative recruitment strategies that align with our growth objectives.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a recruitment subject matter expert, designing strategies to attract a diverse and qualified candidate pool for the CIB Front Office in Japan and Korea.
  • Utilize technology, alternative sourcing techniques, and agency usage as integral components of sourcing plans.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with HR Business Partners, Compensation, and other HR Specialists to facilitate lateral recruiting.
  • Develop knowledge of competitor institutions and leverage market data and intelligence to inform hiring decisions.
  • Provide consultation and negotiation support related to the recruitment process in partnership with Hiring Managers and Human Resources Business Partners.
  • Partner with business leaders on key strategic initiatives to enhance recruitment outcomes and service delivery.
  • Manage agency usage levels, ensuring direct sourcing strategies are prioritized.
  • Respond to ad-hoc requests from global recruiting leads and senior HR partners, contributing to staffing initiatives and reporting.


Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Minimum 8 years of recruitment experience, with at least 5 years in the banking sector.
  • Strong background in front office CIB recruiting.
  • Proven ability to develop creative and diverse sourcing strategies, including market mapping and cold-calling.
  • Excellent project management and reporting skills, with the ability to manage complex situations and multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior management.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to establish strong relationships with business managers and HR partners.
  • Commitment to diversity and shared values, serving as a role model for others.


Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Fluency in Japanese is preferred, with additional proficiency in Korean considered an advantage.
  • Experience in constructing complex offers and managing the offer process.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and employee relations in Japan and Korea.
  • Ability to multi-task and utilize effective time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of customer service dedication.
