Role Summary
The Chief of Staff will serve as a strategic partner to the CEO, COO, and executive team, ensuring that Portless operates with discipline, focus, and alignment. This role will drive the rollout of standardized processes and workflows across the company, while also providing leverage on critical strategic and financial initiatives. The Chief of Staff will be a force multiplier for leadership—helping Portless scale operations, sharpen execution, and prepare for continued growth and investment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Excellence
- Develop and implement standardized processes and workflows across all departments (operations, finance, sales, product).
- Monitor organizational performance, identify bottlenecks, and design scalable solutions.
- Manage strategic initiatives and ensure projects are executed on time and aligned with company goals.
- Financial & Strategic Analysis
- Build, refine, and maintain financial models to support decision-making, scenario planning, and growth strategy.
- Partner with Finance and Leadership to analyze key metrics, unit economics, and operational performance.
- Fundraising & Investor Communication
- Support fundraising processes by preparing materials such as pitch decks, board updates, and financial analyses.
- Coordinate investor communications, ensuring timely, accurate, and compelling updates.
- Serve as a liaison between executive leadership and external stakeholders.
- Executive Support & Alignment
- Act as a trusted advisor and thought partner to the CEO and COO.
- Drive alignment across leadership by ensuring priorities are clear and communication flows effectively among the CEO, COO, and executive team.
- Prepare briefings, strategic memos, and board materials.
Qualifications
- 5–8+ years of experience in consulting, investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or operational leadership roles at high-growth startups.
- Strong background in financial modeling and quantitative analysis.
- Proven experience supporting fundraising processes, including investor communications and preparation of fundraising materials.
- Track record of building and scaling operational processes in fast-growing environments.
- Exceptional project management and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Experience in logistics, supply chain, or tech-enabled services is a strong plus.
