Channel Strategy & Development Sr. Specialist
With a strong understanding of the local market dynamics, the incumbent acts as the local channel owner - coordinating across funtions to activate business development (KBD) initiatives, optimize retail execution, and deliver against key perfromance indicators under the guindace of the the Manager of Channel Strategy & Development for PH and VN cluster.
The Lead of Channel Strategy & Development drives the end-to-end local execution of channel strategies in the Vietnam market, ensuring in-store activities, channel programs, and operational initiatives are delivered with excellence and aligned to regional commercial strategy.
Acting as the local channel owner, the role leverages deep market understanding to coordinate cross-functionally, activate key business development initiatives, optimize retail execution, and deliver against defined KPIs, under the guidance of the PH & VN Cluster Manager for Channel Strategy & Development.
What You'll Do
Strategy Execution
You will execute local channel growth strategies and plans tailored to specific channels.
You will translate cluster channel strategy and sales inputs into clear local execution plans.
You will partner closely with local sales teams to ensure effective and disciplined in-market execution.
Category Growth Program Planning & Analysis
You will define and implement key growth building blocks to accelerate sales, market share, and overall performance in priority channels.
You will analyze and report the performance of sell-in, sell-through, and sell-out initiatives, integrating sales, WTD, and media KPIs.
You will provide actionable insights and recommendations to the PH & VN Strategy Development Manager to close performance gaps and improve channel results.
Promotions & Campaigns
You will lead the development and execution of the annual local channel program plan.
You will align with cluster and regional channel strategy teams to maximize the impact of regional and cluster-led initiatives.
You will drive KPI tracking and ROI measurement, capturing insights and learnings to optimize future programs.
You will collaborate with cluster teams on asset development and with local sales teams to deliver in-store execution excellence.
Customer Management
You will execute initiatives in partnership with cluster and local sales teams to build strong, long-term relationships with key accounts and trade partners.
You will ensure effective communication and collaboration to unlock growth opportunities and drive mutual success.
New Product Launches
You will support new product launches by ensuring timely distribution, strong in-store visibility, and effective promotional execution.
You will align on POSM strategy, distribution plans, and key SKU stocking to ensure successful market launches.
Budget Management
You will manage local channel development budgets, including promotions and POSM production.
You will allocate resources efficiently to maximize ROI and align with cluster channel strategy and development priorities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Performance Governance
You will drive cross-functional collaboration across local, cluster, and regional channel, sales, and media teams.
You will scale global, regional, and cluster initiatives within the local market while acting as the local market voice.
You will set clear objectives and KPIs to track performance and execution effectiveness.
You will champion data-driven, consumer-centric decision-making across the organization.
What We're Looking For
You hold a Bachelor’s degree; an MBA in Marketing is preferred.
You bring 7–10 years of experience in trade marketing or channel development within Consumer Durables, Automotive, or FMCG companies, with a strong focus on local execution and delivery.
