Role Description: Channel Account Manager - JapanRole Purpose: 

Wasabi’s Channel Account Manager plays a key role in expanding and strengthening our partner ecosystem in Japan. We’re looking for an experienced, driven, and highly motivated channel sales professional to recruit, develop, and support Wasabi partners as they bring our next-generation hot cloud storage solutions to market.

In this role, you will work closely with partners to integrate Wasabi into their sales and marketing motions and help them successfully drive and fulfill end-user opportunities. You’ll also leverage Wasabi’s robust Channel Marketing program, which provides a steady flow of new partner leads and offers an extensive library of enablement resources to support your success.

The role reports to the Country Manager, Japan.

Responsibilities:
    • Recruit, onboard, and activate qualified channel partners across Japan.
    • Build strong, strategic relationships with partners and help them integrate Wasabi into their sales and marketing motions.
    • Present Wasabi’s hot cloud storage solutions and ensure partners can confidently position our value proposition.
    • Develop joint business plans with partners, including shared goals, revenue targets, and key execution milestones.
    • Drive partner-led opportunities and achieve assigned sales and strategic targets.
    • Coordinate internal and partner resources to support end-user sales and successful deal execution.
    • Maintain clear, consistent communication with internal teams and external partners while following channel rules of engagement.
Requirements:
    • 5+ years of technology channel sales experience; storage experience preferred.
    • Strong skills in planning, goal setting, and follow-through.
    • Self-starter with a track record of achieving results in fast-paced environments.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Coachable, collaborative, and comfortable offering and receiving feedback.
    • Experience using Salesforce or HubSpot CRM.
    • Bilingual proficiency in Japanese (native) and English.
    • Bachelor’s degree; sales certifications are a plus.
