As a Central Mask (CM) Engineer within Micron's Manufacturing Central Team, you are responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality reticles to all global fabs while meeting stringent technical, quality, and schedule requirements.
You will work cross-functionally with design, process integration, metrology, OPC, and fab teams to define reticle specifications, optimize fracture and tapeout flows, and resolve reticle-related issues impacting manufacturing. This role also drives continuous improvement in reticle tapeout quality, cycle time, and robustness to support advanced technology nodes and high-volume manufacturing.

This role also drives continuous improvement in reticle tapeout quality, cycle time, and robustness to support advanced technology nodes and high-volume manufacturing.

- Contribute to group objectives and drive projects with limited supervision.
- Continuously evaluate and refine approaches and goals.
- Implement and transfer processes across teams and sites.
Specific Expectations:
- Define reticle specifications in collaboration with MTC for each node series.
- Partner with key stakeholders throughout the holistic photomask supply chain including design, tape out, manufacture and use
- Lead worldwide efforts to enhance reticle quality management in HVM sites (equipment, procedures, business process)
- Engage with both internal and external suppliers to strengthen partnership and lead initiatives to achieve and exceed internal customer expectations
- Lead worldwide efforts to transform VOC (voice of the customer) to enhance business process or standards
- Contribute to global expansion projects in both existing facilities and greenfield sites
- Collaborate with both upstream (fracture/tape out) and downstream (reticle manufacture) to optimize design specifications, achieve cycle time expectations and enhance end customer experiences
- Create and develop strategic roadmaps in collaboration with stakeholder groups
- Support tapeout teams in implementing new data preparation flows.
- Fulfill internal reticle material requests using standard production flows.
- Troubleshoot CD Metrology issues prior to OPC production handoff.
- Provide feedback to OPC management for innovative improvements.
- Mentor peers by sharing hands-on knowledge beyond standard training.
- Deliver quality, timely results for significant projects with high impact.
- Foster positive interactions with team members, other departments, and suppliers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing or process engineering.
- Strong understanding of reticle manufacturing, fracture techniques, and CD metrology through tapeout process
- Proven ability to lead projects and mentor engineers.
- Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
- Commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
