Job Description
The Capital Advisory Group sits within Global Sales & Marketing and is comprised of Capital Introduction & Consulting. Capital Introduction acts as a key resource to introduce alternative investment managers, ranging from new launches to established funds, to qualified institutional investors, such as endowments, foundations, pension funds, insurance companies, sovereign wealth funds and various private wealth channels. Capital Introduction specializes in providing expert guidance to hedge fund managers on capital formation and business strategies, while also advising institutional investors on manager selection. The Hedge Fund Consulting team acts as an outsourced management consultant to our hedge fund manager clients on a variety of matters including, but not limited to, building out operational and legal infrastructure. The Capital Advisory Group works closely with the Prime Finance & Alternatives Sales teams.
As an Executive Director in Capital Introduction within the Capital Advisory Group, you will be expected to have significant expertise within the hedge fund industry, preferably at least 10 years of experience investing in alternative investments.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Advise hedge fund managers on capital formation strategy and institutional investors on hedge fund manager selection
  • Act as a key resource to introduce alternative investment managers to qualified institutional investors, such as endowments, foundations, pension funds, insurance companies, sovereign wealth funds and various private wealth channels
  • Employ rigorous data analysis to draw key insights on industry trends that range from fees & terms structures to industry flows
  • Generate thought leadership content pieces


Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • 10+ years of relevant full-time work experience, preferably as an institutional allocator investing in alternative investments (mainly hedge funds)
  • SIE Exam and Series 7 must be acquired
  • Deep understanding of alternative investments, specifically regarding portfolio construction strategy and due diligence processes for hedge fund manager selection
  • Exceptional analytical, quantitative, communication, and organizational skills, with a proven ability to synthesize complex subject matter effectively
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint


Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Alternative investment due diligence/manager selection, hedge fund marketing, and/or capital introductions background is strongly preferred
  • Expertise in private investing is a plus
  • CFA and/or CAIA designation is a plus
