Job Description

Primary Responsibilities:

Calibrate various pressure, mass, force, torque, temperature, and dimensional instruments in laboratory and onsite environments as assigned.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Calibrate precision instruments and generate error-free calibration certificates
  • Liaise with clients on technical issues and respond to feedback promptly
  • Maintain accurate draft report formats and templates in accordance with laboratory standards
  • Assist in developing and extending new calibration scope to expand service offerings
  • Improve calibration productivity and efficiency through adoption of enhanced systems and methods
  • Build and foster collaboration with internal teams to ensure effective service delivery
  • Maintain laboratory Quality Management Systems, including ISO 17025 compliance
  • Conduct timely troubleshooting and provide customer support as required
  • Maintain good housekeeping at workstation and designated areas
  • Uphold SGS reputation and safety standards, exercising due regard for health and safety of all personnel
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management

Qualifications

  • Diploma/Degree education in Mechanical engineering or related field.
  • 2-5 years’ experience in equipment measurement/calibration 

Additional Information

  • Good technical knowledge and hands-on experience in the calibration of various Pressure, Mass, Force, Torque, Temperature, and Dimensional instruments, both in the laboratory and at customer sites
  • Able to work independently and to coordinate several activities simultaneously
  • Able to interact with all levels of management
  • Good communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Works well under pressure
  • Fluent English and local language
  • Applies judgment and acts according to the SGS standards of ethics and integrity
  • Knowledge of ISO systems and procedures
