The Team

Enfusion by Clearwater is the investment management system built for institutional asset managers — a cloud-native, front-to-back platform spanning portfolio management, order and execution management, risk, analytics, and accounting. The Sales Department is critical to Clearwater’s continued growth across Asia-Pacific. Spread across multiple verticals — including Operations, New Sales, Solutions Engineering, Sales Development, and Partnerships — Clearwater Sales is instrumental in broadening our footprint in the region by delivering strategic business initiatives.

The Role

As a Business Development Representative (BDR) based in Hong Kong, you will be responsible for introducing Enfusion by Clearwater to prospects across the Chinese market, kicking off and setting the tone for the sales cycle, and helping to drive our growth. This role requires more than 50% travel to Shanghai and other major cities across China to meet prospects and clients on the ground. You will create, identify, and qualify new prospect leads while learning from seasoned, high-performing sales executives. Your objective is to educate prospective clients about the value of our products and services, helping to set meetings for key decision makers and our subject matter experts. If you are ambitious, competitive, intelligent, and looking to build a successful sales career, then this is the opportunity for you!

What You’ll Do

This is a highly independent, execution-focused role measured against clear, quantifiable metrics — including number of meetings booked, number of new relationships established, and the quality of your meeting notes. You will be expected to operate autonomously and consistently hit your numbers.

  • Execute outreach against your assigned targets in the Chinese market, putting management’s lead-generation strategy into action

  • Research targeted personas within institutional asset manager and hedge fund accounts to ensure effective conversations

  • Initiate contact with targeted prospects by sending personalized emails, cold calling, and using direct outreach and social media touch points

  • Achieve or exceed goals for number of meetings, new relationships established, sales qualified leads, and sales accepted leads (in both quantity and quality), and ensure a proper handoff to Sales to assist in growing the revenue of the company

  • Capture high-quality, detailed meeting notes to ensure clean handoffs and accurate pipeline tracking

  • Proactively learn Enfusion by Clearwater products and services, competitor products, and the industry

  • Offer pertinent resources (white papers, e-books, infographics, relevant blog articles) to prospects in an attempt to foster a relationship and increase education in the early stages of the buying process

  • Create relationships with clients to identify their potential needs and qualify their interests and viability to drive sales

  • Meet with your assigned Sales Reps and establish expectations of your partnership

What You’ll Need
  • Drive to achieve quantifiable metrics-driven results through ownership, process optimization, and upstanding character

  • 3+ years of post-graduate experience in a lead-generating role or sales

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field

  • Native Mandarin and fluent (business-level) English

  • Willingness and ability to travel more than 50% of the time to Shanghai and other major cities across China

  • A passion for learning

  • High-energy, team-first, and problem-solving mentality

  • Track record of prior success and a strong work ethic

  • A strong understanding and well-defined reason for being interested in a sales career

  • Ability to engage in meaningful conversations at all levels of management

  • Excellent relationship-building skills

  • Knowledge of a CRM (i.e. Salesforce) or database is an advantage

  • Experience with Microsoft Office / Google package
