About the Role
TOKEN2049 is the world’s largest crypto event, bringing together the leading founders, executives, investors, institutions and companies shaping the global digital asset industry.
We are hiring a Business Development Manager to join our commercial team. This is a revenue-focused role, responsible for identifying, pitching and closing sponsorship and partnership opportunities.
The ideal candidate is commercially driven, highly organised, confident in front of clients, and able to operate with ownership. You should be comfortable building pipeline, managing senior relationships, and working in a fast-moving environment where execution matters.
A strong interest in crypto, tech or AI is important. Existing industry relationships are a plus.
Responsibilities
  • Identify and develop new sponsorship and partnership opportunities across crypto, tech, AI and institutional finance.
  • Build and manage a pipeline of prospective sponsors and partners, from initial outreach through to close.
  • Lead sales conversations with founders, executives, marketing teams and business leaders.
  • Understand client objectives and align them with relevant sponsorship, exhibition, branding and activation opportunities.
  • Manage existing sponsor relationships and identify opportunities for renewal and expansion.
  • Work closely with marketing, operations, finance and legal to ensure successful execution of commercial partnerships.
  • Stay close to industry trends, market developments and key companies across crypto, tech, and AI.
  • Take ownership of commercial targets and contribute directly to the growth of TOKEN2049.

Skills & Experience
  • Proven track record in business development, sales, partnerships or sponsorship sales.
  • Strong commercial instincts and ability to close.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Highly organised, structured and able to manage multiple opportunities at once.
  • High-agency, ambitious, driven, accountable and comfortable working independently.
  • Strong interest in crypto, tech or AI.
  • Existing network across crypto, AI or technology is highly advantageous.
  • Experience selling sponsorships, events, media, SaaS or B2B partnerships is a plus.
