Job Description

This role will be based in our Bugis Junction Office. 

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to join our ATxSG team. 

Areas of Responsibility

New Business Generation & Opportunity Hunting

  • Proactively map, identify, and pursue new business opportunities within the TechXLR8 brand of ATxSG, with a strong focus on opening net-new accounts.
  • Conduct targeted market research across multiple sources to uncover emerging opportunities, ensuring a consistently robust new-business pipeline.
  • Develop and execute clear new-business acquisition strategies for assigned customer segments, prioritizing high-potential prospects.

Prospecting, Outreach & Lead Conversion

  • Identify, engage, and qualify new prospects, gaining deep insight into their challenges and positioning Informa Festivals, services, and solutions as high-value answers to their needs.
  • Drive revenue growth through consistent outbound activity, proactive lead generation, and fast, effective responses to inbound enquiries.
  • Build and leverage a strong social selling presence to increase visibility, generate referrals, and nurture early-stage opportunities.

Customer Engagement & Commercial Positioning

  • Meet prospects and customers face-to-face to build relationships, articulate value, and accelerate conversion of new business.
  • Identify customer pain points, influence decision-making, and tailor solution-led conversations to secure year-one partnerships and long-term potential.
  • Ensure delivery of ROI to new clients to support strong renewal potential beyond the first year.

Sales Forecasting, Reporting & Pipeline Management

  • Prepare accurate new-business forecasts, pipeline updates, and performance analysis to share with management on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Highlight risks, opportunities, and competitive insights that shape strategy and support stronger win rates.

Collaboration & High-Performance Culture

  • Play an active role in a high-energy, high-activity business development team, sharing insights and contributing to collective targets.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to align on prospect needs, event positioning, and commercial strategy.

Operational & CRM Excellence

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of prospecting activity, interactions, account plans, and pipeline progress within the Informa CRM system.

Personal Development & Market Awareness

  • Continuously develop sales skills and market knowledge, staying ahead of changing industry trends and competitor activity.
  • Maintain an Individual Development Plan (IDP) aligned to Informa Festivals to support continuous growth.

Qualifications

·       3 – 5 years industry experience within a New Business role. Including basic knowledge of any events, trade shows or digital media/advertising.

·       Experience/track record performing in a new business hunter role in a solution based B2B/B2C environment.

·       Some experience of Key Account Management/Relationship building within large organizations.

·       Fundamental communication skills, confident in articulating propositions to customers, patience plus basic presentation skills, face to face, telephone, written and virtual

·       Experience of sales situations and demonstratable history of Sales KPI delivery

·       Experience using CRM to manage customer data and forecast sales opportunities (specifically Salesforce)
