Job Purpose:

The Business Development Manager plays a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and expanding our market presence.
 
The role collaborates closely with the VP - Head of Business Development to plan and execute effective sales strategies.
This will be a key role in helping the team achieve its growth targets.
Annual Revenue Target in 2026: $500K in Net Spread

Job Accountabilities:

  • Prospect and close profitable new key accounts, contracts and deals
  • Win strategic new business for the organization and help achieve the targets agreed
  • Transitioning new accounts into Relationship management with seamless hand-over
  • Helping to build a sustainable business through supporting business development activities.
  • Complete market intelligence on very large upcoming opportunities of interest, from Acquiring perspective

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Plan & develop a healthy sales pipeline of key prospects to achieve the assigned business goals each year
  • Support the overall Business development strategy for Network across all products, including identification of key segments & accounts and definition of customer propositions and key messages.
  • Possess the ability to learn Network’s products and services and be able to present these professionally to potential customers. Respond to received referrals within agreed timeframes.
  • Develop appropriate relationships with potential customers with the intention of winning profitable business for Network.
  • The negotiation of terms with customers maximizes the long-term profitability of Network.
  • Presenting Network to potential clients through direct communication in face-to-face meetings, telephone calls and emails.
  • Actively and successfully manage the sales process: this includes lead generation, client pitch; negotiations, closing deal and handover to the account management team.
  • Managing and maintaining a pipeline and ensuring all sales administration is accurate and up to date.
  • Create and be accountable for all client proposals, contracts and any further documentation.
  • Interact with other departments effectively, including the account management and technical team when handing over clients.
  • Ensuring Network remains proactive and responsive to prospective clients.
  • Accurately pricing new relationships in line with agreed pricing policy.

Experience/ Skills Required

Required Competencies:

  • Out-of-the-box Thinking: Apply inventive thinking to identifying opportunities and developing sales strategies where traditional methods fall short.
  • Presentation Skills: Ability to present products/solutions pitch to C-Level customers.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication to interact with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Negotiation Skills: Proficient in negotiating deals and closing sales.
  • Analytical Skills: Able to analyze sales data and make informed decisions.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Acquiring/Payments, of which 5 years in managing Key/Enterprise accounts in the UAE.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in using CRM software and sales tools.
  • Strong networking abilities to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Result-oriented mindset with a focus on revenue growth.
  • Ability to adapt to changing market dynamics.
