Job Description: 

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for defining and executing strategic growth initiatives with the accounts assigned to you. This involves identifying new technologies opportunities, cultivating long-term relationships with existing or new clients/partners, and collaborating with internal cross-functional teams to drive revenue and expand our market presence and wallet share.  

 

Key responsibilities 

  • Market Intelligence 

  • Monitor competitive landscape, pricing trends, and customer needs to inform strategy. 

  • Develop and implement strategic business plans with identified key partners to achieve company growth targets. 

 

  • Stakeholder Engagement and Enablement 

  • Develop strong relationships with key vendors and customers. 

  • Deliver training, sales tools, and support to partners for successful go-to-market execution. 

 

  • Sales and lead generation: 

  • Generate new sales leads and convert them into successful business opportunities. 

  • Prepare persuasive business proposals, presentations, and sales collateral. 

  • Track, negotiate and close pipelines conscientiously that meet company guidelines and support revenue growth. 

 

  • Internal collaboration: 

  • Work closely with internal marketing, technical, and product teams to create tailored strategies that address client needs and market demands. 

  • Provide feedback to internal teams to help improve products and service offerings. 

 

  • Performance tracking and analysis: 

  • Monitor business development activities and analyse key performance metrics and sales data. 

  • Report on performance and adjust strategies as necessary to ensure goals are met.  

 

Required skills and qualifications 

 

  • Min. Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. 

  • Proven min. 3 years of experience in business development, sales, or a similar commercial role in IT Technology field 

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation and interpersonal skills. 

  • Strong strategic and analytical thinking skills, with the ability to problem solving, research and interpret market dynamics. 

  • Self-motivated and results-oriented with strong project management and organizational abilities. 

  • Proficiency with CRM software and other business productivity tools.  

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Strong understanding of enterprise IT technologies and project-based selling.
