The Role:

As a Business Analyst within the APAC Business Transformation Office, you will support the successful delivery of strategic and operational change initiatives across M&G’s Asset Management business in Asia.

This role is ideal for someone early in their transformation career who enjoys problem‑solving, analysing business needs, documenting requirements, and supporting change delivery across cross‑functional teams.

You will work with project managers, business stakeholders, and technology partners to ensure clear understanding of requirements, smooth coordination of project activities, and effective communication across teams. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative, proactive approach.

Key Responsibilities for this role:

Business Analysis & Requirements Management

  • Support in gathering, analysing, and documenting business requirements for projects and process enhancements.
  • Work closely with business SMEs to understand current processes, identify gaps, and help define future-state workflows.
  • Assist in preparing business cases, project scope documents, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process maps.
  • Support impact assessments and contribute to solution discussions across various functions.

Project Coordination & Delivery Support

  • Assist project managers in maintaining project plans, tracking milestones, risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Support stakeholder communication by preparing status updates, meeting materials, minutes, and action logs.
  • Coordinate workshops, working groups, and SME discussions, ensuring clear follow-up and documentation.
  • Help monitor delivery against budget and timelines, escalating deviations as needed.

Change & Implementation Support

  • Support readiness activities including training materials, communications, and user engagement.
  • Assist in testing cycles (UAT planning, test case preparation, execution and defect tracking).
  • Help ensure smooth transition of project outcomes into business-as-usual operations.

Continuous Improvement

  • Contribute ideas for improving processes, documentation, and ways of working within the transformation team.
  • Support the adoption of transformation frameworks and methodologies across APAC where relevant.

Key Skills, Competencies & Experience:    

  • At least 5 years of experience in business analysis, project coordination, or change support (financial services preferred).
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to clearly document requirements, workflows, and functional specifications.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and build positive working relationships.
  • Proactive “can‑do” attitude with willingness to learn and take initiative.
  • Strong organisational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Familiarity with project management or business analysis tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, Visio).
  • Experience in asset management, investment operations, or financial markets with understanding of APAC market practices and regulatory environment will be advantageous.
