Role: Business Analyst with Adaptive Tool
Location: Remote (Anywhere in Canada)

Job Description:
·       Lead end-to-end analysis, design, configuration, and enhancement of budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes using Adaptive Planning.
·       Translate business and stakeholder needs into detailed technical user stories that guide configuration activities.
·       Execute configuration changes directly within the Adaptive platform—including model updates, workflow modifications, and report creation—to support evolving business requirements and optimize system performance.
·       Act as the senior subject matter expert (SME) for Adaptive, championing system optimization, workflow automation, complex report development, and best practices implementation.
·       Develop, maintain, and continuously improve comprehensive system documentation for Adaptive including configuration settings, process workflows, data integration mappings, user manuals, and training materials to ensure knowledge continuity.
·       Collaborate closely with finance, accounting, procurement, and IT stakeholders to ensure technical user stories align with business goals and technical feasibility.
·       Conduct thorough system testing and issue resolution.
·       Mentor junior analysts on Adaptive best practices, configuration execution, and documentation standards.
·       Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and practices, ensuring that projects are delivered iteratively and meet evolving business needs.

Required Skills:
·       Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
·       5+ years of progressively responsible experience as a Business Systems Analyst or similar role with a strong focus on Adaptive Planning at a senior level.
·       Deep expert knowledge of Adaptive for budgeting and forecasting, including hands-on experience executing configuration changes such as model building, workflow development, and report design.
·       Proven ability to translate business needs into detailed technical user stories that drive systems development and configuration.
·       Demonstrated expertise in creating, maintaining, and managing detailed, structured, and accessible documentation specifically for Adaptive system configurations, processes, and user training.
·       Hands-on experience working with NetSuite ERP and Coupa procurement systems.
·       Working knowledge of Brex financial tools and processes (expense management, corporate card reconciliation, etc.).
·       Proven ability to analyze complex financial and procurement processes and translate business needs into scalable system solutions.
·       Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail and documentation quality.
·       Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
·       Ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently and drive projects to successful completion.
·       Solid experience working in Agile environments, with active participation in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and iterative delivery.
