Collaborating with cross-functional global and regional teams, you implement brand strategy that is aligned with our brand vision to drive sustainable growth and to deliver business objectives. You also support profit and loss management and future business development plans and objectives, including new product development and platform opportunities
How you will contribute
You will work with others to execute the brand strategy for designated brands, develop product and packaging initiatives, implement pricing strategies, and plan and execute integrated marketing communication and media plans. You will also provide recommendations for integrated commercial plans and provide input and support in the development and execution of marketing plans to ensure they meet revenue, profit targets, sharing objectives and monitoring performance. Based on your strong understanding of consumer insights, brand strategy and positioning, you ill help develop integrated marketing communications and 360 degree campaigns.

More about this role
The Brand Manager for the Chocolate Category at Mondelēz Egypt is responsible for driving growth and building brand equity for our portfolio of chocolate brands within the Egyptian market. This role requires a deep understanding of the Egyptian consumer, market dynamics, and competitive landscape. The Brand Manager will develop and execute integrated marketing strategies that resonate with local consumers, drive sales, and strengthen brand loyalty. This position works cross-functionally with sales, insights, supply chain, and other teams to ensure seamless execution of brand initiatives and achievement of business objectives.
What extra ingredients you will bring:
  • Brand Strategy & Planning:
    • Develop and implement annual marketing plans and brand strategies tailored to the Egyptian market, aligned with regional and global brand guidelines.
    • Conduct market research and analyze consumer insights specific to Egypt to identify opportunities and inform brand positioning. Pay particular attention to cultural nuances and local consumption habits.
    • Define target audiences and develop compelling brand messaging that resonates with consumers.
    • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track brand health and campaign effectiveness in the Egyptian market.
    • Manage marketing budgets effectively, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to maximize ROI.
  • Marketing Execution:
    • Oversee the execution of marketing campaigns across various channels relevant to the Egyptian market, including digital, social media, television, radio, print, and in-store activations.
    • Collaborate with creative agencies and internal teams to develop culturally relevant and engaging marketing materials and advertising campaigns for the consumers.
    • Manage social media presence and engagement on platforms popular in Egypt, ensuring consistent brand messaging.
    • Plan and execute product launches in Egypt, including developing localized launch plans, marketing materials, and sales support tools.
    • Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including agencies, vendors, and media partners.
  • Product Management:
    • Collaborate with regional product development teams to identify new product opportunities and adaptations relevant to the Egyptian market and consumer preferences.
    • Conduct competitive analysis and monitor market trends in the Egyptian chocolate market to identify threats and opportunities.
    • Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates Mondelēz chocolate brands in the Egyptian marketplace.
    • Manage product packaging and labeling to ensure compliance with regulations and consistent brand presentation.

Education / Certifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 6-8 years of experience in brand management, marketing, or a related field, with a strong understanding of the Egyptian market.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing campaigns.
  • Strong understanding of marketing principles, including branding, advertising, and digital marketing, with a specific focus on the Egyptian market.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Fluency in Arabic and English.
  • Experience with market research tools and techniques.

Job specific requirements:
  • Experience in the FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) industry, particularly in the chocolate or confectionery category.
  • Experience working with creative agencies.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing platforms and trends.
