Dynamics of role
The role will be responsible for managing Transunion CIBIL’s direct and indirect taxation compliance.

What You'll Bring:

  • Ensure indirect tax compliances (like GST payment, GST monthly & annual return filing, e-invoice generation, E-Way bill generation, RCM & ISD compliance, GST accounting, reconciliations, preparation & review of input tax credit register, other GST compliances, etc.)
  • Handling GST annual audit (GSTR – 9C) and departmental audit
  • Effective Implementation of newly introduced IMS module & ISD system by GST authorities
  • Preparation and review of revenue reconciliations
  • Preparing reconciliations for GST input tax credit and Input tax credit register including reverse charge
  • Handling all direct & Indirect tax assessments, rectifications and filing of responses against any notice received from department
  • Ensure TDS compliances (like TDS deduction on vendor payments, TDS return filing, generation of TDS certificates, Challan maintenance, accounting, reconciliations, etc.)
  • Ensure direct tax compliances (like TDS, ITR, tax audit, etc.)
  • Handling 26AS reconciliations by coordinating with different teams, consultants and outside customers
  • Ensure statutory return filing (like Income tax return filing, SFT filing for dividend, OPI filing with RBI, etc.)
  • BAPA (Bilateral Advance pricing Arrangement) compliances
  • Handling Transfer Pricing audit & assessment
  • Review of other activities done by tax team
  • Ensure accurate accounting of GST and TDS and preparation of relevant monthly schedules
  • Preparation and maintenance of COFIC & RCM
  • Preparation of relevant MIS / monthly schedules
  • Responsible for existence of proper internal controls and ensuring timely statutory, internal, concurrent, SOX, ICOFR & other audits
  • Liasing with external and internal auditors & other auditors for smooth completion of audit
  • Collaborate with various internal units for process integration; ensure adherence to quality standards
  • Assist in implementation of department wide best practices and ensure adherence to same
  • Implementation of all other direct and indirect tax related changes

Impact You'll Make:

  • Chartered Accountant / master’s degree in accounting or finance / business or any related stream.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in process handling
  • Executive presence and assertiveness.
  • Self-starter, ability to work independently, handle ambiguous situations and exercise judgement in variety of situations.
  • Strong communication, organizational, verbal & written skills.
  • High degree of responsibility and ownership, strong multitasking, coordination and tenaciously looking for ways to get results.
  • Positive attitude and eye for detail
  • Ability to go behind variance numbers and determine core issues / root causes
  • Lots of energy and passion for work execution and doing things in a better way
  • Willingness to learn and grow within Finance team, by observing other areas
  • Innovative in bringing new automations with the respective areas & analytical skills

This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
