The individual will be part of the Investor Services Technology team based in Singapore and will be responsible for Technology Outsourcing enablement. The role is critical to ensure compliance of Investor Services Technology initiatives to local regulatory requirements and the relevant Cross Border Data Clearance which exist across Asia Pacific.

The person will ensure that outsourcing approvals are obtained for Asia Pacific Investor Services Technology outsourcing initiatives and that Citi is compliant to all the in-country regulatory requirements and Citi policies pertaining to outsourcing. The individual would be responsible for the annual due diligence of approved outsourcing proposals and would also be responsible for centralized monitoring and tracking. As part of this the individual would be working on the necessary documentation and would need to liaise with Technology leads, Product Management partners, Compliance, Legal, Finance, Information Security, Cross Border Data Clearance team, Country outsourcing, Procurement teams as required.

The individual would also drive other governance related and risk and control initiatives for Asia Pacific Investor Services Technology.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that outsourcing approvals are obtained for Asia Pacific Investor Services Technology outsourcing initiatives and that Citi is compliant to all the in-country regulatory requirements and Citi policies pertaining to outsourcing
  • Responsible for the annual due diligence of approved outsourcing arrangements and for centralized monitoring and tracking. As part of this the individual would be working on the necessary documentation and would need to liaise with Technology, Product Management, Compliance, Legal, Finance, Information Security, Cross Border Data Clearance, Country outsourcing and Procurement teams as required
  • Applies comprehensive understanding of how multiple areas collectively integrate to contribute towards achieving outsourcing approvals
  • Provides evaluative judgement based on analysis of information in complicated and unique situations
  • Exhibits sound and comprehensive communication and diplomacy skills to exchange complex information
  • Support and facilitate discussions with internal auditors to address identified areas and potential risks
  • Appropriately assess risk, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, issues with transparency

Qualifications / Experience:

  • Candidate is expected to have at least 5 years’ experience in a Compliance or Risk & Control function
  • Knowledge of the regulatory environment pertaining to technology outsourcing and versed with outsourcing documentation such as TRM (Technology Risk Management)
  • Strong Coordination skills to work across various functions in Citi – Technology, Business, Legal, Compliance, procurement, Finance, and respective Country offices
  • Strong oral, written, presentation and people skills
  • Self-drive, with a passion for change, acts with extreme sense of urgency and is passionate about delivering
  • Meticulous planner with a tremendous attention to detail, managing through complexity and dependency
  • Ability to work across all levels of the organization

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent work experience
