Design, build, and maintain full‑stack software for banking operations and customer services. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams across the SDLC, mentor junior engineers, adopt new technologies, and ensure reliability, scalability, and security of applications.
Business Function
Group Technology enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In Group Technology, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software applications to support the bank's operations and customer-facing services
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, project managers, and other IT professionals, to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, architecture design, coding, testing, and deployment
- Continuously research and implement new technologies, frameworks, and best practices to enhance the bank's technology stack
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and professional development
- Proactively identify and address technical challenges, ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of the bank's applications
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in application development, with a strong background in programming languages, frameworks, and databases
- Proficient in software design patterns, data structures, and algorithms
- Hands-on experience in developing and deploying web-based applications, mobile applications, or microservices
- Familiarity with agile software development methodologies and best practices
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
