As our Global Corporate & Institutional Banking (GCIB) Asia franchise matures into providing more content and advisory to its strategic clients, we are constantly looking for additional product/solution content that allows us to differentiate MUFG and drive conversation with the clients C-Suite. This has led to establishing a product agnostic and relationship focussed Solutions, adding value to the firm’s deepest relationships and delivering multi product opportunities for the bank with high returns. The team will consider key issues including regulation, accounting, rating agencies, cross border issues, ALM and more.

We are developing our Solutions team in both Singapore and Hong Kong. To support our strategy, we are seeking dedicated and knowledgeable Associate. The roles are pivotal in supporting the solutions strategy to align with the broader business strategy, cutting across all product lines and client segments. The successful candidates will be instrumental in implementing and executing clients' solutions in close collaboration with various teams. These positions offer exciting opportunities to contribute to customer account plans, manage new transactions, and support origination activities while ensuring compliance with internal processes and policies.

Based on where the best suited candidate is identified, MUFG may hire the roles in Hong Kong or Singapore.

What you'll do:

As an Associate in Solutions GCIB Asia, your role will be multifaceted. You will be involved in strategic planning, working closely with various stakeholders to create and implement strategies for the GCIB. Your excellent stakeholder management skills will come into play as you collaborate with product partners to market and deliver the bank's worldwide products and services. You will also provide crucial portfolio support, helping to achieve revenue targets at both segment and client levels. A key part of your role will involve supporting the Solutions team in managing customer needs, which may require direct interactions with clients. Lastly, you will ensure strict adherence to all regional and country risk and compliance requirements.

  • Contribute in creating and implementing the strategy for the GCIB with relevant stakeholders.

  • Support in management of target clients through implementation of a deep account planning process.

  • Work with product partners to market & deliver the Bank’s worldwide products and services.

  • Provide portfolio support to achieve Revenue target at segment and client levels.

  • Support the Solutions team in managing customer needs including direct interactions with clients as required.

  • Ensure adherence to all Regional/ Country Risk and Compliance requirements.

What you bring:

As an Associate in Solutions GCIB Asia, you bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table. With a Bachelor's degree under your belt, you have experience honing your skills in banking, insurance, financial markets, accounting or legal industries. Your experience working on complex transactions or client management has equipped you with strong stakeholder management skills. You possess a deep understanding of Capital/RWA solutions, rating agencies, cross border issues, ALM. Your credit analysis skills are top-notch, and you're ready to put these skills to use in a challenging and rewarding role.

  • Bachelor's Degree holder.

  • CFA / CAIA charter holder would be favourably considered.

  • Minimum 2 years experience in areas such as Banking, Insurance, Financial Markets, Accounting or Legal industries.

  • Experience in working on complex transactions or client management.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills.

  • Deep understanding of Capital/RWA solutions, rating agencies, cross border issues, ALM.

  • Credit analysis skills.
