The Restructuring and Insolvency Associate/Senior conducts initial market research and financial analyses. He/She participates in business development and stakeholder interactions and manages the restructuring and insolvency processes for the client engagements that he/she is responsible for. Adherence to standards of ethics and maintain quality assurance in processes is expected of the role.

 

Responsibilities

  • Analyse historical financial performance and perform cash flows analyses
  • Conduct financial analyses, financial statements review and assess business performance
  • Gather relevant data and information to develop financial restructuring plans
  • Prepare documents for sale of distressed assets
  • Research and gather information on legal entity structure of clients
  • Assist in drafting correspondence to clients with creditors during restructuring or insolvency
  • Support team with judicial management, receiverships and liquidations
  • Gather relevant data and information to develop a proposal and/or scheme of arrangement
  • Maintain internal and external relationships to drive desired outcomes

Requirements

  • Background in Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance or other relevant field
  • Experience in corporate insolvency / restructuring will be advantageous but not necessary
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, generate insights and construct solutions
  • Tenacious and willing to learn on the job
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple deadlines
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong team player
