The primary responsibility of the Associate Security Technical Services (TS) Systems Integration Specialist is to work closely with the TS Systems Integration team to action configurations, installations and attend to break/fix events that are deemed less complex in nature. This role works towards associate level certification, whilst at the same time developing business knowledge to action configurations, installations and attend to break/fix events that are deemed less complex in nature.
- Learns the ability to start 'owning' portions of an installation, break/fix incidents, and problem management during project lifecycle.
- Functions jointly with the Implementation Engineering team to meet client requirements.
- Action less complex configurations and installations.
- Attend to less complex break/fix events during project lifecycle.
- Provides support and work alongside with Senior Associate/L2 and other senior support engineers.
- Performs any other related task as required.
- Basic understanding and appreciation of technical design principles.
- Ability to develop an understanding of fundamental project and administration processes.
- Displays a strong learning orientation.
- Good verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrate a client service orientation.
- Hands-on proactive in approach.
- The ability to work overtime when required.
- Some exposure to deployments for less complex tasks.
- Knowledge on security concepts and application of those concepts.
- Knowledge on log collection mechanism such as Syslog, Log file, DB API.
- Knowledge in security architecture.

- Knowledge of cloud services on at least one of the following providers - AWS, Azure, GCP.
- Knowledge web service protocols and frameworks for high-availability, low-latency, resiliency, and auto-scaling.
- Knowledge any of the following - Java, Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, R, .NET, PowerShell.
- Knowledge in serverless development.
- Understanding practices on securing data and systems by applying appropriate authentication and authorization controls.
- Understanding of Event Driven Development and asynchronous operations.
- Understanding project fundamentals which are demonstrated in the execution of installations and other assignments.
- Ability to take ownership as technical lead during project lifecycle.
- Demonstrate customer engagement skills.
- Demonstrate relevant domain specialist knowledge and expertise.
- Knowledge of security technologies and understanding of managed services concepts.
- Knowledge of security monitoring and management tools for performance optimization and troubleshooting.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Technology or Computing or related field.
- Relevant vendor certification is mandator such as (but not limited to) -
- Azure Certified Security Engineer / PCNSA / FCA / CCNA Security.
- Cloud Security certifications and certifications like, SC-200, Security+, or similar Certification in different networking technologies such as CCNA Security, JNCIA, ACCA, PCNSA, ITIL, Azure Security Engineer, Azure Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure Certified Network Engineer, Azure Administrator Associate, is advantageous.
- Certifications relevant to the services provided (certifications carry additional weightage on a candidate’s qualification for the role) - Terraform; Azure; Sentinel; EDR Defender for Cloud; Microsoft Security; Devops Ci/CD Pipelins; Azure Governance (Defender for Cloud, Azure Policies, Secure Score and Compliance); Version Control (Git); Microservices (Kubernetes, Azure Containers); Azure / AWS/ GCP Infrastructure (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS); Azure Infrastructure as Code; Azure Administration; Hybrid Cloud; Networking (Firewalls, LAN, VPN); Automation; MS Office365; Power BI Administration; Scripting (PowerShell); ZTNA.
- Entry Level experience in SOC Analysis Operations.
- Entry Level experience in SIEM usage for investigations.
- Entry level experience in Azure or AWS or GCP.
- Entry level experience in Security technologies.
- Entry Level experience in technical support to clients.
- Entry Level experience in handling security incidents end to end.
- Entry Level experience in configuring/managing security controls, such as SIEM, Firewall, IDS/IPS, EDR, NDR, UTM, Proxy, SOAR, Honeypots, and other security tools.
- Track record of delivering on-time and on-target.
