Your work environment

Financial Markets (FM) is the Bank’s gateway to the professional markets around the world. Our primary function is to service the needs of ING’s clients with products, services and guidance. FM aims to be a significant player in our market leader and challenger markets, with an additional presence in all the major international markets and specialist expertise in selected emerging markets and products.

Your Role

FM Business Management personnel is critical to ensure that our Financial Markets franchise is operating at peak performance. The successful candidate will be a key partner in ensuring that our clients’ needs are fully satisfied and that our desks can fulfil their commercial responsibilities.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Co-ordinate business strategy and new strategic business initiatives
  • Support the APAC FM Head of Business Management in providing management support to the head of the business in areas such as Cost Management, Strategy Development, Budgeting, Internal Controls and Employee Management (compliance / governance related controls)
  • Ensure the quality and effectiveness of the front office control environment
  • Ensure that there is adequate support and expertise from relevant Support Functions so that the Business can function efficiently
  • Co-ordinate the introduction and deployment of new products or entry into new markets

Other important pre-requisites

  • Sound knowledge on Financial Markets products – FX, Rates, Derivatives, Securities and Money Market.
  • University degree from a relevant business field
  • Sense of initiative and be proactive
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic and intellectually stimulating environment
  • Have strong analytics and quantitative skills, to review and make conclusions over large client data
  • An effective team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
  • High level of self-motivation
