About the role
If you are a builder who thrives on solving complex challenges, this role is for you. As the Associate Director of Product Payroll Compliance, you will lead efforts to develop scalable payroll engines across APAC and ensure our solutions are compliant and efficient. With a strong focus on research, project management, and stakeholder collaboration, you’ll drive initiatives that power our growth while navigating the complexities of regional compliance.
What you will do

Lead research to develop compliant payroll engines for APAC.

Collaborate with the development team to design and optimize workflows that align with local regulatory requirements.

Ensure legislative changes are incorporated into engine configurations promptly and accurately.

Develop resources and frameworks to support compliance decision-making at every stage of the product lifecycle.

Drive end-to-end project execution for payroll system enhancements and new implementations.

Lead and manage a team of compliance professionals, overseeing payroll compliance activities across APAC.

Provide expert guidance on legislative compliance matters, including audits and regulatory inquiries, ensuring adherence to international standards.

Act as the primary liaison between compliance, engineering and product teams.

Foster and maintain strong relationships with external auditors and regulatory bodies, representing the organization in compliance-related matters.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field from an accredited institution or equivalent compliance-specific certification.

8+ years of experience in managing compliance in a fast-paced, global environment, with expertise in payroll regulations across APAC.

Strong ability to translate regulatory requirements into clear workflows and scalable solutions.

Experience in managing and mentoring compliance teams and working collaboratively with cross-functional departments.

Strong knowledge of payroll compliance regulations in at least 6 countries or more, with the ability to manage compliance efforts across an entire region.

Excellent project management skills, including familiarity with Scrum/Agile methodologies.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a focus on working effectively across departments and regions.
