Key Responsibilities


Review and Monitor Projects

  • Review and manage end‑to‑end project implementation, including project planning, risk management, quality control, vendor management, financial management, resource management, and collaboration. This also includes responsibility for pending activities after project closure that fall within the project scope (e.g. payments and training).
  • Oversee deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor project progress.
  • Prepare progress reports for key stakeholders covering project status, risk/issue mitigation, project spending and budget, resource management, timelines, and other related matters.
  • Provide advice on IT governance processes, guidelines, and IT/system‑related recommendations.
  • Manage business and technical issues and propose alternatives or solutions.

Cross‑Capabilities Management

  • Work closely with the overall project team (including but not limited to Business Analysts, Developers, Testers, Infrastructure, and Delivery teams) to ensure projects are delivered within scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Develop project management methodologies, tools, standards, and execution processes to be adopted across the organisation for IT project implementation.

Project Planning

  • Prepare and develop project work plans, ensuring alignment with project deliverables (including vendors, where applicable).
  • Provide advice and plan for testing, data migration, deployment, and training based on technical and business dependencies.
  • Establish project teams based on the project charter and conduct kick‑off meetings, PWC meetings, and PSC meetings.
  • Manage, prepare, track, and maintain all project‑related documentation, including changes, updates, minutes, approvals, and sign‑offs.
  • Collect and analyse metrics from the Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) provided by Business Analysts and Defect Removal Effectiveness (DRE) derived from defect log reviews during testing, for reporting purposes.
  • Perform resource planning for support, development, projects, and subject matter experts.
  • Plan, manage, and coordinate all IT and project‑related activities, schedules, and timelines across internal departments and external vendors.
  • Plan, manage, and coordinate technical‑related activities across internal departments and vendors.
  • Define timelines, effort estimates, and key activities for system changes and projects.
  • Review and provide input on integration and data conversion strategies.
  • Identify the involvement of third‑party systems during User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Capture risks and issues and maintain the risk and issue register.

Project Delivery

  • Manage and deliver projects within agreed timelines, quality standards, and budget.
  • Provide regular updates to management using established reporting templates and schedules (e.g. monthly and yearly) for support, development, and project activities.
  • Ensure timely communication and proper engagement with business stakeholders and sponsors.
  • Ensure project risks are appropriately identified, analysed, and mitigated throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Project Management

  • Analyse and manage impacts, interfaces, and interdependencies across multiple projects.
  • Manage business and technical challenges and propose suitable alternatives or solutions.
  • Adhere to all applicable procedures, company policies, and quality or regulatory requirements.
  • Stay current with new technologies, project management methodologies, and tools.

Project Closure

  • Prepare project closure documentation, including project performance scorecards, vendor performance scorecards, and performance appraisals.
  • Upload endorsed project closure and document review forms to the centralised repository.
  • Coordinate the review and sign‑off of deliverables, including Statement of Work (SoW) (if vendor‑involved), Business Requirements Document (BRD), Functional Specifications Document (FSD), Test Plans, and Test Cases.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Information Technology, or equivalent.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2 certification.
  • Agile or SCRUM certification.
  • Minimum of 8 years of Project Management experience, with at least 4 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Proven experience delivering medium to large‑scale projects from inception through the full project lifecycle.
  • Experience in Treasury, Distribution, Market Data, or Wholesale Banking systems such as Murex, FinIQ, Bloomberg, or Refinitiv is an added advantage.
  • Experience in technical or infrastructure‑related projects is an added advantage.
  • Exposure to Blockchain or Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) initiatives, proofs of concept, or implementations within financial services is an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g. Microsoft Project).
