Job Description Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Associate Director, Communications to support the Global Head of an international company within the Financial Services sector. This dynamic role sits within the Global Communications function, reporting to the Head of Communication and Engagement, and works in close partnership with the Office of the Global Head.
As part of the global communications team you work to ensure alignment with the bank’s broader narrative, brand standards, and tone of voice. You will be responsible for executing compelling, and consistent communications that amplify both the voice of the Global Head as well as the function—internally and externally.
The ideal candidate brings editorial precision and creativity, as well as the ability to effectively manage multiple senior stakeholders.

Job Description

About the role:

Executive Communications & Thought Leadership

  • Draft high-quality speeches, talking points, briefing notes, and keynote presentations for the Global Head.
  • Translate strategic messages into engaging leadership content including blog posts, LinkedIn updates, thought leadership pieces and quotes for media or event appearances.
  • Craft engaging presentations for internal and external engagements, in line with brand guidelines and strategic positioning.

Internal Communications

  • Work with the Global Communication team to create internal messages, leadership updates, newsletters, and video scripts to inform and inspire regional teams.
  • Support the wider functional leadership team with key messaging and communication materials, ensuring tone and content are consistent with global narratives.
  • Collaborate with the broader Communications team to deliver function-specific campaigns and employee engagement initiatives.

Brand & Content Development

  • Partner with creative teams within the Global Communications function and beyond to develop on-brand assets such as digital invitations, presentation decks, event collateral, and social media visuals.
  • Ensure all content is aligned with company overarching communication themes and editorial direction
  • Maintain and manage editorial calendars to ensure timely delivery and coordination across channels.
  • Offer light-touch executive support including speech prep, briefing coordination, and engagement logistics.

About you:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in corporate communications, executive support, public relations, or strategic marketing, preferably in financial services or a large MNC
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a talent for simplifying complex ideas and tailoring content to diverse audiences.
  • Social media fluency, especially on LinkedIn and internal platforms
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities with speed, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Emotionally intelligent, and comfortable working closely with senior executives, managing senior stakeholders
  • Collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced, matrixed, and multicultural environment.
