Assist clients in mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures by analyzing financial data, performing valuations, and preparing presentations.
We are looking for highly motivated and dynamic professionals to join our Financial Advisory – Deals Advisory Services practice in Singapore. As a member of our Deals Advisory practice, you will have the opportunity to assist clients in a key phase of their potential mergers, acquisitions or divestitures projects. We help some of the world’s leading companies including MNC, Private Equity, Public listed and privately held companies evaluate their deals and assess the value of businesses.
Responsibilities
- Analyse historical financial data and identify operational and key business trends.
- Assess key deal issues, including quality of earnings, net debt and working capital impacting valuation of the target company.
- Assist in the valuation of businesses, shares, intangible assets, and purchase price allocations (PPA).
- Build and maintain financial models to assess business performance and value companies using appropriate valuation methodologies (e.g., DCF, market multiples);
- Perform market research and benchmarking analysis using data service providers such as S&P Capital IQ;
- Assist in the preparation of client deliverables and presentations.
- Coordinate and attend meetings with deal stakeholders and other advisors.
- Support any business development initiatives covering the preparation of proposals.
Requirements
- Strong academic background and either in the progress of studying towards or willingness to obtain a financial qualification such as CA, CPA, ACCA, CVA or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in international accounting firms, preferably with exposure to financial due diligence or valuation, but we will consider candidates with similar skills (i.e. Audit & Assurance, M&A, business analytics) and the aptitude to learn. Candidates with no experience but with strong academic achievement or internship experience will be considered for the entry role.
- Strong analytical skills complemented by strong business acumen.
- Good understanding of relevant financial reporting standards.
- Excellent written and oral communication.
- Strong knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office applications (including Excel, PowerPoint and Word).
- Familiar with the use of research/technical tools such as S&P CIQ, Mergermarket, Bloomberg
- Highly adaptable, able to work independently and effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Keen to work in an international environment with teams across geographies to meet client requirements.
- Proficient in spoken and written English; any added language proficiency is a plus to liaise with international clients or targets.
