Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and AI-powered features (LLM integrations, copilots, chatbots, agents). Work across full SDLC to develop microservices, APIs, RAG/semantic search solutions, vector DBs, CI/CD pipelines, and AI evaluation/guardrails while collaborating with stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and refine technical and AI-related requirements.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications, microservices, and APIs.
- Develop and integrate LLM-powered features (e.g., copilots, chatbots, decision-support tools).
- Build backend services using Java, Python, Node.js, and modern frameworks (FastAPI, Spring Boot).
- Perform prompt engineering, context engineering, and RAG (retrieval-augmented generation).
- Build and orchestrate AI agents, Agent Harness and multi-agent workflows.
- Apply OOP, OOAD principles, and design patterns to deliver robust systems.
- Integrate LLM APIs and manage vector databases and embeddings for semantic search.
- Develop AI evaluation, testing harnesses, and guardrails to ensure performance and reliability.
- Design and optimize SQL databases and work with ORM tools (Hibernate/JPA).
- Contribute to full-stack development, including basic UI/UX using JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Manage end-to-end SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle), including development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for both application and AI workloads.
- Work in a DevOps environment, supporting automation, monitoring, and scalability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of software development experience.
- Strong proficiency in Python; working knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, Kotlin.
- Hands-on experience with FastAPI, Spring Boot, and backend frameworks.
- Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
- Experience or exposure to LLMs, prompt engineering, or AI application development.
- Understanding of RAG, embeddings, vector databases, and semantic search.
- Familiarity with AI agent frameworks (LangChain) and Agent Harness concepts.
- Knowledge of AI evaluation, guardrails, and hallucination mitigation techniques.
- Good understanding of backend architecture, distributed systems, OOP, and design patterns.
- Proficiency in SQL, relational databases, and ORM tools (Hibernate, JPA); familiarity with NoSQL (MongoDB) is a plus.
- Experience with CI/CD, Git, DevOps practices, and deployment automation.
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex engineering and AI concepts.
