We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Vice President (AVP) in Procurement to join our team in Singapore. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving procurement strategies, optimizing supplier relationships, and ensuring cost-effective purchasing across the organization. This is an exciting opportunity for a procurement professional to contribute to our continued growth and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the procurement team to deliver best-in-class sourcing and procurement solutions.
- Develop, implement, and monitor procurement strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Drive cost savings initiatives and value creation through effective negotiation and supplier management.
- Oversee end-to-end procurement processes, including tendering, contract management, and supplier performance evaluation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards.
- Analyze market trends and identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation in procurement practices.
- Prepare and present procurement reports, analysis, and recommendations to senior management.
- Mentor and develop procurement staff, fostering a culture of high performance and professional growth.
Requirements:
- Minimum of five years' experience in procurement, contract management, or vendor management roles in the IT area.
- Experience in business management and strategic sourcing.
- Experience in formulating supplier negotiation strategies to address commercial and contractual aspects, including boilerplates and KPIs/SLAs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field. Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CIPS, CPM) is an advantage.
- Proven track record in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier management.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management abilities.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
- Experience in the Singapore market and knowledge of regional procurement regulations is preferred.
