Job Responsibilities:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cloud Architect (AVP level) to shape cloud strategy, architecture, and delivery across our regional operations. This role is critical in delivering cloud transformation initiatives, ensuring robust architecture design, and implementing systems migration, go-live and ensuring regulatory compliance aligned with industry standards. This role demands expertise in cloud solutioning, security, compliance, and cost optimization—coupled with stakeholder management across IT, risk, and business teams.
You will report to the Vice President – Regional Enterprise Architecture (REA) and work closely with business and technical teams to design scalable, secure, and resilient cloud solutions.
- Manage the design and implementation of cloud-native and hybrid architectures on Azure, AWS, or equivalent hyper-scalers
- Implement business and operational requirements into scalable cloud solutions
- Architect and deliver backend systems, APIs, and customer-facing applications in a corporate banking environment
- Ensure cloud solutions meet security, compliance, and performance standards
- Manage full lifecycle of cloud projects including planning, execution, and delivery
- Establish and enforce cloud governance frameworks covering identity management, security controls, data residency, cost management, and operational standards.
- Align architecture decisions with regulatory and compliance frameworks including MAS TRM, NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF), and ISO 27001.
- Implement policies for cloud risk management, access controls, and continuous compliance monitoring.
- Define and institutionalize enterprise cloud standards and frameworks that promote consistency, automation, and compliance.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to align cloud strategies with business goals
- Advise senior stakeholders on cloud adoption strategies, cost implications, and modernization roadmaps.
- Maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and specifications using Confluence, SharePoint, etc.
- Present cloud strategies and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in IT architecture and solution delivery, with at least 6 years in cloud architecture
- Experience in cloud governance, compliance, and policy automation in Azure and AWS.
- Experience in security frameworks and regulatory standards.
- Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC), DevSecOps, and CI/CD integration.
- Strong understanding of cloud security, networking, and integrations with SaaS Providers.
- Experience in project management and delivery, including agile methodologies
- Familiarity with API architecture, microservices, Cloud Data Governance tools and DevOps practices
- Prior experience in financial services or banking, especially in transaction banking or corporate banking
- Kubernetes knowledge and implementation experience is a must
- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills
- Azure or AWS public cloud certification is a plus
