Job Description:

Role Overview 

We are seeking a hands-on Assistant Production Manager to oversee daily operations within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient production processes, driving team performance, and maintaining a strong focus on safety and quality. 

You will lead a production team, monitor output, and play a key role in implementing operational improvements while ensuring alignment with company standards and objectives. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Supervise day-to-day production activities and monitor team productivity 

  • Lead shift meetings, track progress, and take action to address delays or issues 

  • Implement production plans, performance targets, and continuous improvement initiatives 

  • Ensure team members understand their roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations 

  • Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous development 

  • Enforce compliance with safety regulations, policies, and procedures 

  • Plan and adjust work schedules to support efficient operations 

  • Maintain working knowledge of production processes and equipment 

  • Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues, escalating complex problems when required 

  • Support broader business objectives and contribute to overall operational performance 

 

Experience and Education 

  • Proven track record in a manufacturing environment supervising production quality and continuity  

  • Prior experience in a supervisory or team leadership role 

  • Six-Sigma Green Belt certificate is considered a plus 

 

Skills and Knowledge 

  • Strong understanding of production operations and manufacturing processes 

  • Proven leadership and team management capabilities 

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills 

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail 

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment 

  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office or related tools
