We are currently seeking an Assistant Manager, Documentation to support our experienced vessel operation team in Singapore and assist operational activities with efficient documentation.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING | THE ROLE

In this role, you are responsible to:

  • Prepare ship manifests, Bills of lading, Letters of indemnity and other pertinent documents keeping the information up-to-date and ensuring proper compliance with regulations. 
  • Co-ordinate with the charterers and agents to ensure all the documents are prepared well in time and co-ordinate with our own operations team and documentation team in Montreal for smooth turn-around
  • Act in accordance with all relevant regulations and maritime laws. 
  • Process and document the information in our maritime documentation system.
  • Handle post fixture work and liaising with the post fixture team in Montreal for invoice posting and follow up.
  • Provide feedback and improvement projects to further enhance the smooth turn around
  • Assist with other documentation task as required or assigned.

WHAT YOU BRING | THE PERSON

The ideal candidate has:

  • A university degree in accounting or a combination of studies and relevant experience
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of maritime shipping and pertinent documentations is an asset.
  • Excellent command of English languages (oral and written).
  • Knowledge of Mandarin is a preferred asset considering most of our Asian clients speak Chinese / Mandarin
  • Experience in a fast-paced, corporate work environment
  • Highest standard attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite
