Lead the APAC Volatility Product Control team in Hong Kong, overseeing daily P&L and risk reporting, balance sheet controls, month-end processes, reconciliations, and financial analysis. Partner with front office, operations, market risk, and other control functions to resolve issues, strengthen controls, deliver strategic initiatives, and drive continuous improvement. Manage and develop team members while reporting control metrics and financial commentary to senior management.

As a Vice President in the Equities Product Controller team you will have an opportunity to lead the Volatility PC team in Hong Kong and will report into the APAC Equities Product Controller Regional Head. You will be supporting Volatility business that presents across 13 markets in APAC region. In addition you will be responsible for reporting of daily P&L and risk , balance sheet and month end procedures, in addition to working with senior management to support the delivery of key objectives for the department. You will be expected to support your team and coach them through issues as they arise as well as developing them and their processes so that there are good controls around all reconciliations. You will also have opportunities to interact with a broad range of stakeholders across Front Office, Middle Office, Operations, Market Risk and other key business and control functions to resolve issues and improve overall knowledge.
Job responsibilities:
- Management and responsibility of production, preparation and reporting of the Daily P&L and Risk and ensuring it is completed in an efficient and controlled manner.
- Being proactive to ensure your department is meeting the Product Control Minimum Standards and reporting these metrics to senior management.
- Partnering with the wider business to drive forth and implement robust controls and implement strategic initiatives
- Providing detailed analysis and commentary on the financials to desk heads, business managers, and senior finance management
- Coordinating various front & back office support functions to ensure resolution of control and reporting issues in an accurate and timely manner
- Identifying and implementing continuous improvements and ensuring processes adapt to meet changing systems and evolving requirements
- Driving key projects and initiatives related to all the above, as well as larger cross-business programs
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- 8+ years work experience within Product Control or Valuation Control related area
- Previous P&L or risk experience
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail including a strong control focus
- Strong technical product knowledge for Flow and Exotics Equity Derivatives business.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to develop strong working relationships.
- Educated to at least Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) level
- Strong technical skills in using Excel, PowerPoint, Alteryx and Tableau
- Multiple years of people management experience and a track record of developing individuals and building a team
