Job Description:

Individual accountability
Drives growth by meeting customer needs through flawless portfolio and program implementation
Define the Area Portfolio implementation plan in alignment with Global Portfolio strategy
  • Application of global ‘key focus strategic” portfolios /products (invest/focus) relevant to the area
  • Clear actions for “strategic review” portfolios /products (divest/de-emphasize) , By Area/Country, By Market Segment / Procedure / Process
  • Execute portfolio exit decisions in the area to minimize customer impact during transition or complete phase out
  • Provides customer and competitive insights into Area & global teams
  • Understand market trends and customer goals on sustainability, leveraging as part of our strategy for portfolio/segment
Facilitate the Monthly Area IBP Portfolio Review
Set Area Price Corridors
  • Define and execute pricing per region / country based on global and area corridors by understanding price / value proposition
  • Own the governance and rhythm, including optimizing commercial processes
  • Approve price deviation requests outside of area corridor for defined value thresholds, escalate requests outside of global corridor with Global Portfolio team

Lead Global NPI launches in Area / prioritized geographies
  • Ensure usage of global launch best practices and global resources (e.g. launch packages, assets, etc) and successful adaptation in the area as needed
  • Provide continuous support and guidance to regions on training and education related to new product introductions
  • Provide feedback on Region / Country needs for successful launches and sales plan attainment

Own Area Material Master Data for the Business Unit
  • e-commerce / Channel Partners
  • SAP / Legacy systems
Key shared accountabilities
Area Division leader – provide prioritized plans as aligned with Global Portfolio, support area execution priorities & growth programs, ensure strong feedback loops on market & customers back to global teams
R&D – strong engagement on area product development plans, guidance on AE priorities/programs/ support needs
Area IBP Demand Leader – represent the portfolio in the area demand plan
Role qualifications
Strategic pricing understanding
Translating global portfolio strategy
Ability to translate a global portfolio strategy into area adapted tactics including prioritization of regions and/or segments.
