About Role

We are looking for a dynamic, commercial and client-focused sales support team member with an understanding/strong interest in the ETF asset class to join our team in Hong Kong.

The iShares Wealth, Greater China and Southeast Asia sales team is responsible for our business strategy and distribution of index products, active ETFs, digital asset ETFs and model portfolio solutions via a broad set of Wealth Management intermediaries in Greater China and Southeast Asia. We are responsible for day-to-day relationship management with key Wealth distribution partners to both sustain existing business and enable new growth.

Key responsibilities

This position is based in Hong Kong, primarily focused on sales support and client servicing, working alongside senior sales to enable coverage, execution and scale across the region to help deliver our index products, active ETFs, digital asset ETFs as well as model portfolio solutions to Wealth Management clients. The candidate is working in close partnership with our internal and global partner groups to service our clients and help them build better portfolios to achieve their investment goals.

  • Participation in and organization of client events, presentations and educational sessions

  • Execute product campaigns via product education sessions

  • Offer additional services to clients like technology, our capital market views, support when it comes to portfolio construction or help clients within their business model transformation

  • Complete and facilitate RFPs/DDQs from clients and provide client servicing on client questions and queries

  • Further development of scaled distribution materials, i.e. creation of relevant content, presentations, webinars, podcasts etc.

  • Responsibility to ensure that all regulatory & legal requirements and standards are met personally and within the team

  • Act as a reference point and coordinate the internal BlackRock functions such as Marketing, Product Solutions, RFP, Legal and Compliance and Sales Support to deliver the highest service level to BlackRock clients.
     

Knowledge/Experience
 Proven excellence in a relationship management role, ideally demonstrated by several years of experience

  • Thorough knowledge of the local Banking, Wealth and Asset management market

  • 2 – 3 years' experience in financial services, preferably in wealth management, asset management, private banking, or sales support

  • Deep understanding of the sales process, prospecting, objection handling, closing and long-term relationship management.

  • Understanding of product set –ETFs and index products

Skills/Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience; relevant experience in financial services required.

  • Good research and data management skills

  • Fluent English required; Mandarin/Cantonese highly preferred
